Designing solutions without the end user in mind results in disaster, yet we have to get into the minds of end users, or at least understand their mental models, beliefs, and emotions about a domain. This session will provide a hands-on introduction to using experience-design methods to better understand the mind-sets of end users.


Outcomes: Learn how to lead an experience design session with end users to better understand their mental models and needs *Learn how to adapt or build a toolkit for conducting interactive experience design sessions with end users *Understand when and how to employ experience design methods in higher ed IT
