In January 2012, three CIOs and three 2ICs (second in commands) answered a series of questions in an EDUCAUSE Review article, "Filling the IT Leadership Pipeline." The questions focused on each groups perspectives of what made a successful CIO. Today the three 2ICs, who have all assumed CIO roles, will reflect on their answers from 2012.


Outcomes: Help aspiring CIOs develop alignment between their personal strengths and the strengths of a CIO *Help new CIOs better understand how they can adjust their expectations to drive success *Encourage people to fill CIO leadership pipeline by sharing experiences of 3 early career CIOs
