IT departments play a strategic role on campuses, and the IT strategic plan is becoming closely aligned with and tied to institutional planning. There is an emerging reposition of the IT organization, which may introduce new IT strategic planning ideas. An ECAR working group has been engaged in reviewing current IT strategic planning initiatives and how planning projects have changed.
