Faculty development and faculty organizational practices do not historically prepare them for habitats designed for dialogue focused on collaborative problem solving and shared knowledge building, two qualities at the core of communities of practice. This collaborative session will connect participants to the experience of working in a community of practice model to address the question: As a pathway to educational change, how do you construct, support, and facilitate faculty communities of practice focused on innovation and distributed faculty learning leadership? This session also includes SMUMN faculty members who have engaged in the process and are excited to share their experiences with you.
