The ever-increasing number of analytics companies serving higher education, along with a growing number of educators, are advocating the notion that analytics is necessary for instruction to be effective. Indeed, analytics will be a necessary technology in the instructional toolbox, but knowing what one knows and knowing how to effectively deploy analytics throughout the organization are also critical to successful implementation. This panel will share highlights from analytics research released in a special issue of Online Learning.
