The Mosaic Initiative: Faculty Development for Active Learning Classrooms

Indiana University's Mosaic Initiative (http://mosaic.iu.edu) is a direct response to the challenge of supporting active learning across a variety of disciplines, instructional goals, and class size. This poster will provide a brief overview of Mosaic and then focus on the initiative's faculty engagement/development component, highlighting how Mosaic seeks to prepare faculty to teach in active learning classrooms, to promote evidence-based teaching and to encourage faculty input in the development of new learning spaces.


Outcomes: Identify an approach for building a community of faculty leaders to share and promote active learning approaches and to guide development of new learning spaces
