We successfully transformed Historical Amsterdam (bachelor's and master's-level courses) to a student-centric model. During fieldwork, students use mobile devices, apps, and the 4G network to explore different layers of the old city center of Amsterdam in real time. This redesigned course had positive effects on learning outcomes and student satisfaction.

Outcomes: Understand how content, apps, and mobile devices can be used to activate learning on location *Gain insight into the process of supporting teachers in student-centric learning *Explore the evaluation process of active and student-centric learning
