Breakout Session
Data governance plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of data-informed decision making. Discussing three different data governance models, we explore top-down authority for policy and standards, integrated with inclusive bottom-up consensus making. The resulting hybrid model maximizes collaboration, buy-in, effectiveness, and long-term viability.
Outcomes: -Understand the dynamics of data governance through building consensus, and an executive council driving authority and accountability -Identify top-down, and bottom-up, processes, in a hybrid DG program, and understand the roles each play in an effective program with consideration to other models -Expand understanding through hearing the experiences of peers
