As Notre Dame matures in data governance and BI, it is critical to have solid foundation of how different data elements related to each other. Conceptual Data Modeling breaks down "silos" to enlighten data consumers from across campus on how the data they use and steward impacts other functions.

Outcomes: Participants will: 1) See how conceptual data models create a foundation for understanding and governing institutional data 2) See how to effectively facilitate "crowd-sourcing" from a broad and large cross-section of data consumers to incorporate many perspectives 3) See the outcome of several conceptual data models
