Engaging Faculty in Learning Analytics: Evaluating Culture Change

We will present a top-down, bottom-up, middle-out strategy for establishing a data-informed citizenry on our campus. We will provide initial assessments that measure progress toward this long-term goal and will engage the audience in dialog about developing assessments that capture evidence of emerging culture change at our institutions.
Outcomes: Participants will: 1) Reflect on strategies for mitigating known barriers to institutional change 2) Be exposed to an increasingly popular approach for establishing a data informed citizenry 3) Discuss and develop plans for evaluating long-forming culture shifts
