A Case Study in using AI-Driven Interviews to Bring Important Stories and Experiences to Life

Thursday, October 12, 2023 | 8:30AM–9:15AM CT | W185bcd, Level 1
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
In this session, we will present a case study of the USC Digital Repository's Interactive Interviews, a new technology that allows users to “talk to” a database of prerecorded video interview segments that, with AI determining the best response to a user’s questions, simulates an actual conversation with the interviewee. The result is an opportunity to directly engage with primary sources in their own voices, removing media bias and allowing people to dive deeper into the stories of these individuals than ever before.
