Building Resilience into Teaching and Course Design

This poster offers participants perspectives from instructional designers and faculty on developing course resilience. I will provide an overview of a five-step risk assessment process: Identify Hazards, Assess Hazards, Control Serious Hazards, Document Findings, and Review Controls. Participants will be given worked examples and suggestions that can be applied to teaching and course design disruptive situations. Participants will also be able to contribute to brainstorming common situations and solutions.
