Illinois State University’s TechZone has offered technology support for personal computing devices, including hardware repair for students, for over 20 years. Several years ago, requests for repairing personal mobile devices, specifically iPhones, increased dramatically. As an Authorized Service Provider for multiple vendors for many years, our service offerings traditionally involved desktop, laptop, and sometimes tablet repair. As the student population now uses their mobile devices for social and communication as well as academic work, we added to our service offerings to match and have learned many lessons along the way.
