Curiosity and Change: A Framework for Aligning Technology Investments with University Objectives

Tuesday, October 10 | 3:00PM–3:45PM CT | Poster #504, Halls F1, F2, Level 3
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
The University of Oklahoma Information Technology Department uses a Strategy Planning Framework to organize system-wide initiatives such as online education, relationship management, and degree management that align directly with university strategies. The session will highlight the key attributes of the framework and share real-world examples from four practice areas: Opportunity Identification, Organizational Assessment, Strategy Development, and Planning for Success. Through stakeholder engagement and collaborative idea-generation, the framework helps address gaps in information and technology capacity, assesses the current state, develops strategies, and lays the groundwork for successful execution. The session will include a “flash activity,” outcomes and key findings, Q&A and discussion, and collaboration for improvement. Join us to learn how the OU IT Strategy Planning Framework can benefit your institution's strategic technology investments.
