Wednesday, October 11, 2023 | 11:15AM–12:00PM CT | W178b, Level 1
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
Our researchers and institutions are facing greater challenges when it comes to technological needs. From increasing compliance pressure and evolving funding-agency requirements to more innovative technology capabilities, we understand that these challenges can be overwhelming. In this session, we will be joined by UNC Chapel Hill and Microsoft to discuss techniques for successfully engaging with researchers, reviewing how cloud technologies can accelerate meeting compliance requirements, and exploring how on-premises and cloud capabilities can be combined to leverage their respective strengths. This session is designed for IT leaders and professionals providing services to researchers, managing research workloads, or those charted with building or modernizing research enclaves for their institutions. By the end of this session attendees will be equipped with techniques, reference architectures, and guidance to design innovative, complaint, and scalable research environments.
