Tuesday, October 10, 2023 | 3:00PM–3:45PM CT | Poster #106, Halls F1, F2, Level 3
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
Over the past five years, podcasting has become a growing multimodal medium for digital storytelling at USF. The challenge has been to develop a workflow that includes training and resources for faculty to integrate podcasting as an assignment or project. The goal is to not only to provide training in recording and editing skills but also to help the students to discover the power of their own voice and story. This session will cover the strategies, tools, and processes that can be implemented to help instructors successfully bring podcasting into their curriculum. To stay budget-conscious, we’ll share open-source software and utilities, creative commons music and sound effects sources, as well as low-cost equipment choices, so that the students are able to record and edit audio projects in a way that is accessible to all skill levels.
