With the rapid pace of technological advancement and scale of access and adoption of generative AI tools such as ChatGPT and DALL-E, EDUCAUSE has convened a panel of higher education leaders and practitioners to advise us on the functionality and limitations, ethical and equity issues, and opportunities and risks associated with these tools. Expert panel members will join us at this session to discuss the implications of the spread of generative AI, a proposed research agenda to continue to understand its impact on higher education, and the most important institutional capacity areas needed to be prepared for the inevitable institutional disruptions caused by these new tools.
