Higher Education 2023 Technology Trends

As a research and advisory organization, we have a unique perspective on key trends in technology. This talk addresses the three core issues facing higher education: the economy, trust, and data. These issues set the stage for a discussion of the EDUCAUSE Top 10 themes and how those themes interrelate with Info-Tech’s 2023 key technology trends. The trends discussion focuses on generative AI, zero-trust security, recession preparation, the metaverse, digital processes, industry-based data models, and environmental/social governance. Each of these trends is specifically linked to issues faced by higher education IT organizations.
