Learning Management Systems (LMS) are critical to organizing educational content and instruction across multiple stakeholders within a university. The organization of content and instruction necessarily creates tensions between stakeholder preferences and learning management system capabilities. Senior military colleges (SMC) face all of the challenges and tensions as civilian universities, but additional challenges unique to the educational mission offer insight and strategies for resolution across higher education.
