Leveraging Innovation and Research to Pioneer the Future of Education through an Era of Complexity

Tuesday, October 10 | 3:00PM–3:45PM CT | Poster #208, Halls F1, F2, Level 3
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
In response to the pandemic and in pursuit of high-impact change to confront technological disruption, Grand Valley State University’s (GVSU) IT Division established a new Innovation and Research (I+R) team in 2021. The I+R team’s mission is to lead, coordinate, and facilitate the discovery and exploration of emerging technologies and innovative solutions that catalyze digital transformation (DX) at GVSU. Navigating the complexities of continuous transformational change requires dedication, agility, and experimentation to forge new paths as we adapt, discover big ideas, create new value streams, and bring them to scale. Insofar as this, the Education Futures Collaboratory was created as a strategic initiative that operationalizes innovative change within GVSU through a rich ecosystem designed to promote new visions for the future of higher education. Come to this session to hear about our journey while learning principles and methods to take back to your institution to kick-start your own innovation efforts.
