Delivery Format: Poster Session
A critical goal for institutions of higher education with online offerings is student enrollment and retention. In a world where competition in the market for students is increasing, IHEs work tirelessly to recruit and retain students. IHEs across the nation identify expansion of online programs as part of their long-term planning. Success of online programs is often quantified by student retention. This necessitates a focus on increasing support for online students. In this session, the presenters will collaborate with attendees to identify challenges online students experience and discuss strategies to minimize friction in the student’s experience. Additionally, the presenters will share issues faced at their institution and present an innovative interdepartmental approach to support a frictionless online student experience that leads to retention.
