Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
Higher Education is undergoing seismic change due to the social effects of the pandemic and general demographic and enrollment changes. Higher education leaders face an imperative to provide responsive and transformational educational solutions. At the same time, it is recognized that the higher education workforce is increasingly tired, burnt out, even fragile, so proceeding with attention to supporting the human dimension of change requires deliberate planning and action. This presentation provides an overview of key concepts of Digital Transformation related to supporting the human dimension of change, as well as diverse scenarios of cultural challenges faced by three different institutions in their journey towards Digital Transformation, the approach they adopted to address the resistance and an activity to engage participants to apply the concepts in their own context. These scenarios describe challenges and approaches applied in an inclusive team process to envision and enact innovative responses within a School of Professional Studies, cloud ERP implementation and Digitalization of paper processes and workflows with Student Success in mind for Academic/Administrative processes.
