Using Student Voices to Design Faculty Professional Development

Tuesday, October 10 | 8:00AM–8:45AM CT | W183c, Level 1
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
A key element of being a student-centered institution is elevating the voice of the student to guide and prioritize its work, particularly on a majority-minority campus. In this session, participants will hear how one institution used a variety of channels and tools to collect student input and then used that data to design professional development offerings for faculty. From course-based surveys to student focus groups to institutional surveys, come explore the multitude of ways that student input can drive successful and relevant faculty development opportunities.
