You Can't Have Digital Transformation Without Data Governance (Open to All)

Tuesday, October 10 | 3:00PM–3:45PM CT | W192c, Level 1
Session Type: Meeting
Delivery Format: Meeting
Digital transformation (Dx) aims to revolutionize how institutions of higher education use their data, advance their missions, and address their primary challenges in the twenty-first century. Dx is no easy task, however, and will take profound change management efforts, cross-unit collaboration, and data governance. Why is data governance needed? Dx cannot succeed without a robust data foundation, which is achieved through rigorous and ongoing data governance. During this session, we’ll highlight the critical role data governance plays in Dx, the necessity of collaboration from the perspective of their day-to-day data governance efforts, and how the grand challenges highlight the criticality of data governance as an institutional priority to ensure the longevity and impact of institutions of higher education in a digitally transformed world.
