Wednesday, September 30, 2026 | 9:30AM–10:30AM MT
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
As generative AI reshapes higher education, uncertainty often comes first—followed by questions about risk, relevance, and readiness. At OHIO, we’ve moved past “wait, what?” to a deliberate campus-wide approach that turns AI uncertainty into shared opportunity. Grounded in teaching excellence, our strategy focuses on building a sustainable AI framework that supports faculty and students while protecting institutional values. This poster highlights how OHIO established clear security, privacy, and legal guidelines while fostering a culture of innovation that starts small and scales thoughtfully. Early wins include practical improvements like AI-supported note-taking and meeting summaries. From there, efforts expand into deeper integration: embracing AI-enabled features in the LMS, connecting supercomputing resources to the arts, and exploring emerging capabilities in Oracle, OHIO’s newly selected ERP. Central to this work are shared governance, collaboration, and a product-management mindset, using feedback and community-building to ensure that AI extends the expertise already present across OHIO.
