Reimagining Education through Human–AI Co-Agency: Collaborative Intelligence in Learning (Separate registration is required.)

Tuesday, September 29, 2026 | 12:30PM–4:00PM MT
Session Type: Additional Fee Program
Delivery Format: Preconference Programming

This transformative half-day workshop challenges educators, researchers, and technologists to fundamentally rethink the learning relationship — moving beyond human OR AI toward human AND AI co-creating meaning, agency, and transformation together—through a proven multi-agent agentic framework that empowers students to learn how to learn, equips faculty to teach the "how" of learning, and enables academic administrators to ensure learning outcomes remain aligned with institutional mission and vision. Drawing on peer-reviewed research, live AI demonstration, and hands-on design activities, participants will leave with an actionable blueprint for deploying ethical, pedagogically grounded human-AI co-agency within their own institutional contexts.

Outcomes of this workshop:

  • Design a human-AI co-agency learning experience using an integrated agentic framework that empowers students to develop metacognitive skills and learn how to learn independently.
  • Apply ethical agentic AI governance principles to equip faculty with strategies that shift their role from content deliverers to co-orchestrators of deep, transformational learning.
  • Construct an institutional alignment model that empowers academic administrators to ensure AI-enhanced learning outcomes reflect and advance their institution's mission and vision.

Note: Participants who successfully complete this preconference workshop will be eligible to receive an EDUCAUSE microcredential. To earn this digital badge, you must complete a brief workshop evaluation and share two key learning outcomes from your experience. All registered participants will receive an email on October 5 with instructions for completing these steps. Completion of both is required. To learn how to accept and make the most of your microcredential, visit the EDUCAUSE Microcredential website.
