Applying Design Thinking and Innovation in Higher Education (separate registration is required)

Tuesday, October 25 | 8:30AM–11:30AM MT | Mile High Ballroom 2C3C, Ballroom Level
Session Type: Additional Fee Program
Delivery Format: Preconference Workshop Session

IT organizations face design challenges every day, whether designing new products or services, creating improved employee experiences, or optimizing internal processes and procedures. Design thinking is a human-centered approach that sees a problem from the eyes of the end user—the customer, the employee, the partner. It embraces empathy, inspires creativity, and encourages experimentation to create solutions that meet the needs of the audience. This experiential session will cover how to develop new services and solutions that surprise and delight internal partners; solve challenging problems using a proven innovative approach; enhance professional development by learning valuable skills; and apply the key tenets of design thinking to the challenges that higher education faces.
