Coping Strategies for the Death of Unlimited Storage

Thursday, October 27 | 2:15PM–3:00PM MT | Mile High Ballroom 2A3A, Ballroom Level
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session

The cost of cloud storage is growing beyond the reach of institutions used to the days of free or low-cost unlimited storage from Google, Box and others. Those days are gone, replaced by careful examination of storage use, drafting of data lifecycle guidelines, and the development of strategies for moving the data to platforms where the costs can be borne by the owners of the data. The challenges outnumber the solutions, so expect a lively debate around questions disinclined to easy answers.
