UMBC has a reputation of a strong staff shared governance culture. Years ago, several IT members participated in shared governance and there have been IT representatives serving since. This practice of IT staff participating in shared governance has benefited IT staff, and the organization, with exposure to leadership and the far reaches of the campus. Join us and discover how to institutionalize this practice, and see how it can help shape future IT leaders and their institutional engagement.
