CANCELED: Leveraging Research and Value-Sensitive Design to Inform Educational Technology Design and Use
How does a discussion tool support a sense of community? How do we incorporate stakeholder values into tool design? To design a new LMS discussion tool, we prioritized research—a literature review and focus groups—but most importantly, we applied a value-sensitive design framework to analyze user stories. What did we learn from this process and how does it apply to designing a new educational technology tool? We will consider, along with the audience, how research can inform future design.
