AI-Driven Microlearning for Enhancing Student Engagement and Academic Success in Higher Education
Enhancing student experience, engagement, and academic success is an essential focus in the changing landscape in higher education. The potential of artificial intelligence (AI) and microlearning as a novel instructional method to meet the challenges posed by learner motivation as well as retention and performance has not yet been explored. Using data from online learning platforms, the study illustrates how microlearning environments powered by AI can personalize content delivery, provide real-time feedback to learners, and support adaptive learning pathways. Using a quantitative research approach, data were collected from undergraduate participants across diverse academic fields to examine the correlations between AI-assisted learning behaviors, engagement, and academic performance. AI also plays a role in creating meaningful learning experiences: this study shows a positive correlation between engagement metrics and academic achievement. The study seeks to contribute to expanding research on artificial intelligence in education by proposing a scalable model designed to foster student-centered learning. It outlines prospective avenues for consideration by educators and institutions investigating novel technologies, with the goal of optimizing student achievement within digitally mediated learning environments.
