An AI-Enabled Wellbeing and Advising Framework: From Fragmented Data to Coordinated Student Support

Wednesday, September 30, 2026 | 9:30AM–10:30AM MT
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
This session presents the Wellbeing & Advising Framework (WAF), an institutional program at Tecnológico de Monterrey that leverages artificial intelligence, learning analytics, and coordinated support systems to transform student success across the academic lifecycle—from admission to graduation. WAF addresses a persistent challenge in higher education: fragmented data and disconnected support services that delay timely, personalized interventions. This session offers an honest narrative of what it takes to design, pilot, and scale AI infrastructure within a complex, multi-campus institution—not a finished product, but a replicable model in motion. The framework combines four key capabilities: real-time risk detection through early-alert intelligence; holistic student profiles integrating academic, behavioral, and wellbeing data; an AI-powered policy assistant (TECbot) that translates complex regulations into actionable guidance; and a personalization engine connecting students to co-curricular opportunities aligned to their trajectory. Early results show strong adoption: over 40% of program directors and advisors actively using the platform and a satisfaction score of 4.83 out of 5. Participants will gain practical insight into designing a human-centered, AI-enabled student support ecosystem—enabling 500+ mentors and advisors across 26 campuses to move from reactive counseling to proactive, coordinated, and personalized student success strategies.
