Beyond the Score: Where AI Can Help with Accessibility Remediation Under Title II

With April 24, 2026, deadlines now in effect for many public institutions, accessibility remediation is no longer optional. Yet even with tools like Ally and other automated checkers, the hardest work remains: legacy files, caption and alt text quality, faculty workflow bottlenecks, third-party content, and the judgment needed to decide what is actually accessible in context. This session explores where generative and agentic AI can realistically help instructional design and teaching support teams speed up accessibility remediation—and where human review, policy, and governance still matter most. Participants will leave with a practical framework for deciding what AI can assist with, what still requires expert review, and what should not be uploaded or automated at all.
