Bridging the Gap: A Faculty-Staff Partnership Model for Student Success Interventions in the LMS

Wednesday, September 30, 2026 | 9:30AM–10:30AM MT
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
At research-focused institutions, guidance for faculty on LMS grading and course design is limited. Our Center for Teaching & Learning partnered with the Office of Information Technology to develop a participatory design model with faculty working groups. We created best practices for LMS grading and co-designed LMS course templates to address inconsistencies and promote student success. Learn how we brought together faculty and staff from diverse departments, centered student experiences in the process, and improved adoption of shared practices and LMS course designs, with measurable positive impacts on student experiences in the LMS.
