Higher education leaders are increasingly asked to make high-stakes decisions with incomplete, fragmented, or inconsistently framed data. This session explores how CSU Pueblo has approached this challenge by developing an evolving dashboard ecosystem that supports institutional sense-making, prioritization, and evidence-based action across enrollment management, extended studies, financial aid, and academic planning. Rather than focus on individual dashboards, the presenters examine how a coordinated analytics environment helps leaders develop a shared understanding of institutional conditions, surface potential risks and opportunities, and evaluate programmatic impact. Examples include identifying emerging trends and creating concise, visually rich executive summaries. These views enable leaders to justify programming and resource decisions by clearly connecting enrollment patterns, academic offerings, and financial considerations. The session also highlights the importance of user-centered design and sustained collaboration between analytics staff and executive leaders. Through iterative dialogue, dashboards are shaped to emphasize clarity, relevance, and usability, ensuring they remain trusted tools rather than static reports. Participants will gain practical insights into designing dashboard ecosystems that adapt as questions change, support meaningful strategic conversations, and foster confidence in institutional decision-making.
