CSU Pueblo, a regional comprehensive Hispanic-Serving Institution that serves a broad rural region in southeastern Colorado, has expanded its analytics capacity through a decentralized model. What began as an enrollment-driven effort to meet urgent institutional needs has grown into a collaborative approach that is recognized across the institution for its strategic value. This work has been strengthened by CSU Pueblo’s alignment with the CSU System’s Banner and ODS infrastructure, which has given the university the stable data foundation needed to pursue more advanced analytics. CSU Pueblo now draws on modern dashboards and predictive insights to guide recruitment strategies, enrollment targets, scholarship funding practices, equity analyses, online program planning, and institution-wide budgeting. Illustrative projects include merit and transfer scholarship redesigns, rural market pipeline analysis, a multistate recruitment potential dashboard, dual-enrollment pathway insights, and evaluation of how online programs may shift demand across modalities. Participants will learn practical strategies for building analytics maturity in resource-constrained environments and for using data to support institutional resilience, growth, and academic planning.
