In early 2026, the University of Southern California (USC) launched enterprise AI capabilities to support teaching, learning, research, and administrative operations. While initial deployment focused on technical enablement, long-term success now involves driving meaningful and sustained adoption across a higher education landscape. This session examines USC’s transition from individual AI tool deployment to sustained activation. It will outline the organizational change management strategies used to support rollout, the development of a scalable training and enablement model, and approaches to driving adoption across distinct personas—including students, faculty, and staff. Attendees will gain insight into how USC is creating the building blocks for a Center of Excellence to coordinate governance, training, and innovation. The session emphasizes practical frameworks that institutions can apply to move beyond implementation toward measuring impact.
