Industry Insights Session
Creating a truly accessible digital learning environment requires more than meeting compliance requirements; it requires a campus-wide commitment to inclusive design. At the University of Arizona, institutional leaders, instructional designers, IT teams and the Disability Resource Center are working together to build a sustainable accessibility strategy that empowers faculty while improving the learning experience for all students. This session will explore how the university is advancing accessibility across its LMS ecosystem by combining collaboration, training, and technology. Attendees will learn how the institution supports faculty identification and remediation of such common accessibility barriers as inaccessible documents, missing alternative text, and color contrast issues while reducing the manual effort traditionally associated with accessibility compliance.
