Positioning IT to Lead Strategic Change in the Age of AI (Separate registration required.)

Tuesday, September 29, 2026 | 12:30PM–4:00PM MT
Session Type: Additional Fee Program
Delivery Format: Preconference Programming
Today's higher education environment has become a dynamic place of change. Savvy technology leaders use the opportunity to reposition technology, data, and AI tools to play a more strategic role in supporting, enhancing, and leading their institutions, thinking broadly about developing levers of change and expanding their sphere of influence across the campus community. Outcomes of this workshop: become introduced to strategies for how to reposition technology units to play an enhanced strategic role; learn frameworks for expanding the levers of change to drive the right conversations, especially now with AI; and hear useful examples of how to build a leadership culture and activist community. Upon successful completion of this preconference workshop, participants will be eligible to receive an EDUCAUSE microcredential. To earn this digital badge, participants must complete a brief workshop evaluation and share two key learning outcomes from their experience. On October 5, all registered participants will receive an email with instructions for completing these steps. Completion of both is required. To learn how to accept and make the most of the microcredential, visit the EDUCAUSE Microcredential website.
