Project Catalyst is a strategic initiative at the University of Wisconsin–Madison School of Medicine and Public Health focused on modernizing application development while reducing long-standing technical debt and application sprawl. Through the work of 16 focused workgroups, Catalyst established a standardized modern technology stack, redefined the software development life cycle (SDLC), and embedded governance, security, and accessibility into development practices from the outset.
