Using AI-Enabled Analytics to Advance Student Success at Westfield State University

Thursday, October 01, 2026 | 2:15PM–3:00PM MT
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation
Higher education leaders are under increasing pressure to improve student outcomes while responding to growing state accountability requirements, enrollment volatility, and constrained resources. Most institutions have ample student data, yet struggle to translate that data into timely, trustworthy insights that support executive decision- making. Fragmented systems, limited analytics capacity, and unclear governance often prevent institutions from confidently reporting performance or acting early enough to influence it. In this session, attendees will learn how academic and administrative leaders at Westfield State University aligned governance and cross-functional collaboration, and applied AI to build a scalable analytics platform that supports state reporting, improves retention, advances equity, and strengthens institutional effectiveness. Attendees will gain a leadership-level perspective on how analytics can function not simply as a technical solution, but as a strategic capability, enabling earlier intervention, clearer prioritization of resources, and greater confidence in assessing which student success initiatives deliver measurable impact.
