Video as Infrastructure: Scaling Content Creation in Higher Education

Thursday, October 01, 2026 | 9:30AM–10:30AM MT
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
Video is no longer a service. Rather, it is mission-critical infrastructure for teaching, communication, engagement, and digital presence. In this session, communications and academic technology leaders share how they built a scalable, IT-enabled video ecosystem that functions as a core institutional service. This real-world model includes studio environments, streaming capabilities, faculty self-recording kits, hybrid production workflows, and support for social and institutional content. Participants will learn how video can operate as a shared service across campus and how institutions of different sizes can adapt this approach to expand capacity, improve access, and increase impact.
