When Classroom Quality Becomes Data: Measuring Progress Toward Active Learning at Scale

Institutions recognize that learning spaces influence teaching, yet classroom capability is often anecdotal. This poster describes how the Mosaic Active Learning Classroom Certification framework makes classroom quality a measurable institutional variable. A 13-point rubric, informed by the EDUCAUSE Learning Space Rating System, is embedded into the classroom database, enabling a trackable goal of certifying 50% of classrooms. Treating certification as data supports scalable planning, life cycle alignment, and evidence-based investment in active learning.
