Dr. GPT, or How Our Institutions Learned to Stop Worrying and Love GenAI

Tuesday, October 22 | 10:30AM–11:15AM CT | EDUCAUSE Commons, Cybersecurity Central Poster Area
Session Type: Poster Session
Delivery Format: Poster Session
As institutions begin to invest more heavily in generative AI offerings for their administrative, teaching, and research activities, concerns around the privacy and security risks GenAI represents have become increasingly common?and not just from privacy and security teams. In this session, privacy and security leaders will join teaching and learning technology leaders to discuss how their institutions went about implementing GenAI tools while maintaining an awareness of the risks, how their teams got executive buy-in to support these initiatives, and how those initiatives influenced their constituents’ feelings on institutional use of GenAI.
