Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
In a future dominated by AI, educators and supervisors face the crucial task of equipping students with essential AI skills applicable across diverse career paths. Join us to explore the intersection of AI, education, and student empowerment in shaping the future of higher education. AI has become inevitable. We are learning that you will not be replaced by AI, but you will be replaced by someone that knows how to use AI effectively. AI is now a core skill that should be learned alongside word processing and presentation software. Explore how Lewis & Clark College is pioneering one-credit courses as a means of exposing students to tools such as Canva Magic AI, ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, and more. This session will focus on the "AI For Creatives" Course that was piloted in the spring of 2024. Discover how these initiatives ensure that students are well-prepared to excel in tomorrow's workforce, regardless of the field or career they go into.
