Examining the Pedagogical Effectiveness of Virtual Reality Software in Visualizing Historical Sites

This session presents findings from an experimental study examining the pedagogical effectiveness of using virtual reality (VR) software to visualize a historical site. Quantitative results demonstrated statistically significant increases in students' perceived attention, motivation, and comprehension of spatial relationships after the VR experience, with the VR group outperforming the video group in long-term retention of information related to the site's elements and purposes.
