Women are underrepresented in the workforce, especially in leadership roles. In 2023, only 53 Fortune 500 companies had a female CEO. In the technology sector, only 14% of tech leadership positions are held by women. This means that when it comes to collaborating, meeting, or negotiating, female leaders are often the only women in the room. How does this reality impact women in technology? How can women in leadership positions help other women up the ladder? In this session, women CIOs from successful higher education institutions will discuss their journeys and experiences when advancing their careers in the technology market. The presenters will also brainstorm and collaborate with the audience to identify new ways to help other women advance their careers.
