Why You Should Invest in Young Professionals

Wednesday, October 23, 2024 | 1:45PM–2:30PM CT | Meeting Room 220, Cantilever, Second Level
Session Type: Breakout Session
Delivery Format: Presentation/Panel Session
Everyone has unique talents to contribute to their teams. Still, young professionals often feel their full potential is not realized in the workplace, increasingly leading to burnout and challenges with staff retention. Investing in their talent and potential can not only help support and retain young talent, but can create a positive organizational culture that prioritizes innovation and a commitment to excellence. EDUCAUSE President and CEO John O’Brien and EDUCAUSE Program Manager Sophie White join the Young Professionals Advisory Committee’s leadership team to explore ways we can INVEST in emerging talent by Including, Nurturing, Valuing, Empowering, Strengthening, and Transforming. Panelists will discuss how young professionals are a critical component of creating inclusive and innovative organizations. The Young Professionals Advisory Committee leadership team represents diverse roles and institutions ranging from IT strategy to teaching and learning, and from a small community college to a large public state institution.
