Tips to Get the Most Out of Your Experience

We encourage everyone who plans to attend EDUCAUSE 2024 to register as soon as possible and no later than October 4 to receive necessary event communications in advance.

Complimentary exhibitor registrations must be processed in advance, by 11:59 p.m. ET on October 17. Any exhibitor registrations completed after this date and time (including on-site registrations) will be charged $299, even if your allotment hasn’t been used. There are administrative costs to process registrations after October 17. Learn more about exhibitor registration and housing.

Exhibitor staff registration includes access to refreshment breaks in the EDUCAUSE Commons and entrance to the Reception on Tuesday evening. Complimentary lunch is not provided for any registration type. Concessions will be available in the EDUCAUSE Commons, and several local food outlets are available nearby.

Participating at the EDUCAUSE Annual Conference is a big deal! This is your chance to build long-lasting relationships with customers who are eager for your solutions.

Remember: most attendees are more concerned with assessing your products and solutions rather than purchasing on site. This is your opportunity to audition for their business, which is a critical touchpoint for future collaboration.

Need ideas for enticing attendees to visit your booth? Consider:

  • Crafting an interactive experience that allows them to engage with your products and services
  • Hosting your own unique prize drawings and giveaways
  • Announcing a new product or service at the event

Quickly and easily promote your participation leading up to, during, and after the event using these tips and templates that we’ve crafted for you.

Plus, once you've completed your conference registration, be sure to use Snöball—an easy-to-use digital marketing toolkit with pre-written content that you can repost to your preferred social media channels to generate excitement for this year's event!

See it in action…

Join us for the Reception on Tuesday, October 22 to interact with attendees over food and drink. One drink ticket is included. Craft a plan ahead of time to get the most out of this valuable gathering.

For exhibitors, we recommend scheduling one staff member to remain at your booth to engage with those browsing the exhibits during this time, while other staff mingle.

Social Media Tips

  • Start promoting ASAP. This will help build interest early, leading to greater exposure for you by the time of the event.

  • Include the official hashtag—#EDU24—in your posts to be part of the conversation.

  • Cross-promote with other presenters and EDUCAUSE members. Part of a panel presentation? Connect with other presenters and help promote each other.

  • Post to all of your organization's channels one hour before the event begins each day to create excitement.

  • Provide your Twitter/X handle and other social media channels in your presentation materials or other collateral, so attendees can connect with you after the event. Check your channels periodically to help answer questions and participate in discussions.

  • Go multimedia. Use presentation slides, pictures, and video, especially during the event. The more interesting you can make your posts—both content-wise and visually—the more effective your posts will be.

  • Have a conversation. Use a natural voice in your posts, make sure you reply to others’ posts when you can, and thank attendees for participating.

Use your daily emails to let your contacts know they can find you at the event.
